I have some of his books. He says it well. Unfortunately I think it will be a long road before it becomes the rule rather than the exception, particularly in the Roman Church. Rome just doesn't want to give up its power and control.
No, they do not! They are so afraid that there might actually be a reasoned argument for equality that they have closed all discussion on the subject. Was that the sound of minds slamming shut?
I enjoyed this clip and applaud N.T. Wright! His discussion of the names "Junia" vs. "Junias" and the prepositions "among" vs. "to" (the apostles) is a reminder of the importance and power of language/translation.
It is displeasing when the Bible is used to tarnish women's image; its passages venerating and elevating women are ignored.
